11/10/2019.- The 64th Valladolid Film Festival re-launches its section Transmedia, where a selection of VR and fulldome films recreating a 3D environment will be projected. The projection generates in viewers the feeling of being immersed in a boundless space where they experience an intense sensory enthrallment. The section is sponsored by the company Xperiencia Virtual with the collaboration of Bit: Lav.

Teatro Zorrilla’s Experimental Room is the venue chosen for 13 VR screenings scheduled for 22, 23 and 24 October. 25 tickets will be on sale for each session (including special 3D glasses), thus increasing last year’s available seating. The first session will take place on Tuesday 22 and will feature the projection of Visualist, Those Who See Beyond, a documentary that analyzes the concept of video art through the views of today’s most representative artists in this genre. The session will also include a round table on the so-called transmedia narrative. On Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 sessions have been scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. featuring the films Lost in Time, CROW: The Legend, ZERO Days VR, Dinner Party, La Fuga L. 360º and Kinoscope. On Friday afternoon there will be a repeat session of this programme.

In addition, for the first time in the Valladolid Film Festival, the planetarium at Valladolid’s Science Museum will host the screening of several fulldome films. Each of the two one-hour sessions scheduled will consist of seven art pieces by different authors. The venue’s seating capacity is 86 seats. The event will take place on Thursday 24 and Friday 25, and the programme’s lineup includes the following short pieces: Sacred Geometry, Immersive, Sphere, Bio Inspire, End (O) and Genesis.
