10/23/2019.- The Time of History section screened the feature-length documentary Beloved (Delband) and the short film Ceuta’s gate (Bab Sebta) at the Cervantes Theatre in Valladolid on Thursday, October 24.

The documentary Beloved tells the story of the hard but tender life of an 83-year-old mother named Firuzeh, who experiences a unique event in the heart of the Alborz mountains. Before the screening of the film, Iranian film producer Elaheh Nobakht said that «it is a pleasure that my film gets to be presented for the first time in front of an audience in Seminci, in Valladolid».

Delband had previously won awards at film festivals in South Korea, Canada, Russia, Italy, and Slovenia.

Ceuta’s Gate

Ceuta´s Gate addresses the abundant traffic of goods being carried on foot across the Ceuta border, products exempt from paying taxes that are sold in northern Moroccan towns. Through the constant movement of the camera, we learn about this «unusual trade»: a contraband whose busy protagonists embody the ceaseless carousel that enlivens the city.
