Sally Gutierrez Dewar is a visual artist working in the hybrid field between contemporary art, visual essay and documentary. Her videos and films have been shown internationally at film festivals, galleries and museums. She currently teaches Contemporary Art at the Universidad Europea de Madrid. She is a member of the artistic collective Declinación Magnética and the research group El Patio, and is finishing a doctoral dissertation on the epistolary genre in contemporary non-fiction cinema. Her latest feature film, ‘Do You Remember the Philippines?’ is now part of the Reina Sofía Museum collection and was screened in the Time of History Section during the 62nd edition of the Valladolid Festival, among many other venues.
