Juan Tallón (Vilardevós, Ourense 1975) writes all day long, especially when he is not writing. He is a regular contributor to El País, Jot Down, El Progreso and Cadena Ser. He has published 6 novels. In 2020, shortly before the lockdown, he published ‘Rewind’ (Anagrama), a book, set in Lyons (France), about the fragility of life, its unexpected blows and the things we have lost forever. This documentary tells the story of how ‘Rewind’ was created and how the new reality ended up being stranger than fiction.
He was born in Italy in 1977. In 2003 he graduated in Communication Sciences from the IULM University of Milan. From 2006 to 2010 he worked as a programmer and publications editor at the San Fedele Foundation in Milan (Italy). Since 2009 he lives in Ourense where, in 2012, he founded the producer and distributor Noveolas. His filmography includes titles like ‘Il furto della zucca’ (2005), ‘Ritorno a San Andrés’ (2006), ‘9 ondas’ (2013), ‘Kuti Khanti’ (2014) or ‘Pelerinaxes’ (2016). As a teacher and film critic, he has collaborated with various media and institutions such as the magazine ‘Duellanti’, the Cervantes Institute in Milan, Porto’s Esap, the CGAI in A Coruña, the University of Vigo and Onda Cero Ourense. Since 2019 he has produced and hosted the TV show ‘Cinephilia’ on Telemiño.
