Two friends, Hyen-gon and Mun-ho, meet in Seoul after several years without seeing each other and spend a few days together. Hyen-gon has just returned from the United States after failing to succeed as a film director, while Mun-ho has also had to abandon his artistic aspirations in exchange for a secure marriage and a teaching position at an arts university. Over dinner they remember Seon-hwa, a girl they fell in love with in college, and decide to go find her.
