Bastien, a Parisian teen, spends his summer vacation with his family in a cabin by a lake in Quebec. There he meets Chloé, an older girl whom he falls in love with. Despite the age difference and Bastien’s fears, they eventually develop a special bond. Bastien will have to face those fears in order to win a place in Chloé’s heart, while both explore their sexuality and the disturbing legend of the lake’s ghost.
She was born in Montreal (Canada) in 1986, and grew up in Quebec before moving to Paris. She worked as an actress with French directors such as Michel Gondry and Jalil Lespert. In the US, she shot films with Lasse Hallström, Robert Zemeckis and Sean Ellis. Charlotte is an artist exploring her taste for strangeness through paintings, drawings and lithographs. Her passion for genre films led her to write and direct ‘Judith Hotel’, a short film presented at Cannes in 2018. ‘Falcon Lake’ (2022), his first feature film, was selected in the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Festival.
