Felix Van Groeningen was born in 1977 in Ghent (Belgium), where he graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) with the short film ‘50CC’ (2000). In 2004, he made his feature-length debut with ‘Steve + Sky’, which was followed by ‘With Friends Like These’ (2007), ‘The Misfortunates’ (2009) and ‘The Broken Circle Breakdown’ (2012), which earned him an Oscar nomination, a César award and awards at festivals around the world. His filmography also features films like ‘Belgica’ (2016) and ‘Beautiful Boy’ (2018). Charlotte Vandermeersch was born in 1983 in Oudenaarde (Belgium) and graduated from Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp before starting a successful acting career in 2008. She has worked in films, in television series such as ‘Red Sonja’ and with theatre companies like SKaGeN, Olympique Dramatique or the theatre group Lazarus , of which she was a member between 2013 and 2020. ‘The Eight Mountains’ (2022) won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Festival.
