FUNDOS, bronze sponsor of the 67th edition of Seminci

The Fundación Obra Social de Castilla y León (FUNDOS) remains for the 67th edition, for the second consecutive year, as bronze sponsor of the Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid (Seminci). The agreement was born in 2021 as a result of a collaboration agreement between the Municipal Foundation of Culture of the Valladolid City Council (FMC) and the Obra Social Foundation and established the creation of a new recognition within the festival, the FUNDOS award.

The award, consisting of a commemorative trophy and endowed with 6,000 euros, recognises the film that best shows the phenomenon of social transformation and innovation among the titles programmed in the competition sections of Seminci: Official Section, Meeting Point, Tiempo de Historia and DOC. España. Thus, 22 directors and 17 films are competing for this distinction.

The FUNDOS Prize for Social Innovation will be awarded this year by a jury made up of the Foundation’s trustee Leandro J. Martín; Cinema Camp professor Raúl Melero; journalist Angélica Tanarro; CEO of Edigrup, Adriana Ulibarri, and the Director of Brand and Communication of the Red Cross, Belén Viloria.

Working for inclusion and culture

The Fundación Obra Social de Castilla y León is a private non-profit organisation that works for inclusion and equal opportunities, promotes participatory citizenship with access to education, employment and culture and favours heritage conservation, environmental preservation and social innovation. FUNDOS manages the Casa Botines Gaudí Museum in León, organises temporary travelling exhibitions and a year ago launched the Fundos Fórum channel (www.fundosforum.es), which publishes weekly interviews with personalities from the world of culture, journalism and science.
