On Tuesday 25 October, the Carrión Theatre hosted a new session of Seminci Joven with the screening of the film El universo de Óliver, directed by Alexis Morante, in a screening exclusively for schools. Dozens of children between the ages of 7 and 14 watched the film, which was very well received with applause and laughter.

Oliver’s Universe is a film inspired by childhood, based on stories such as “Gulliver’s Travels” or the Stranger Things series. It revolves around the life of a boy named Óliver, newly settled in a new town, school and friends, after the death of his grandfather. Such events motivate him to give free rein to his imagination and make his integration more enjoyable.

Alexis Morante said that this film is made by and for children, and “is a tribute to my grandfather and to all grandparents”. For his part, José Alba, the film’s producer, stressed to the young audience the work that goes into making a film of this magnitude, acknowledging that it takes between five and seven years to complete. “You have to see it with that perspective of courage and effort, recognising all that went into it”, said the producer before the screening of the film.
