Tristán is a frustrated writer who lives by writing the inspiring phrases on the sugar sachets. His routine life changes when he agrees, under mysterious circumstances, to drive the frozen body of his brother Simón across Spain in order to bury it in the house where they grew up. Although they have not spoken for years, Tristán will soon discover that the past and his brother’s mistakes are chasing him. However, Álex, a young hitchhiker that he picks up along the way, will convince him that the obstacles he has to face on this strange road trip are perhaps his last chance to live a true experience.
Guillermo Polo

Valencia-born director, producer and screenwriter who has written and directed several short films and has been working in the film and audiovisual sector since 2008. He hasalso worked as cinematographer on films such as ‘The Mistery of the Pink Flamingo’ (2020), directed by his brother Javier. Together, they founded in 2017 the production company Los Hermanos Polo Films, with which they received a Goya nomination for the short film ‘Una terapia de mierda’ (Javier Polo Gandía, 2023), selected in festivals such as SXSW, Raindance, IDFA, Malaga or Bafici. ‘Devil Dog Road’ (2024) is his feature debut and premiered in the Official Section of the Miami Festival, before opening Cinema Jove.
