19/10/19.- The Spanish Cinema section scheduled the film 7 razones para huir (7 reasons to run away) by directors Esteve Soler, Gerard Quinto, and David Torras at the Broadway cinema on Saturday, October 19. The film offers a vision of society through seven different stories, with a comedic and horror tone.

Before the screening, the film was presented by director Esteve Soler and actress Lola Dueñas, who addressing the audience, Dueñas said that “in Valladolid there is good cinema and good wine, but there are also good audiences”.

Esteve Soler is a Catalan director and playwright who trained at the Theatre Institute (Institut del Teatre in Catalan) and at the Sala Beckett. He wrote Against Progress, Against Love and Against Democracy, a trilogy of plays which has been translated into sixteen different languages.

He previously collaborated with the other two directors of 7 razones para huir, Gerard Quinto and David Torras, in the short film Interior. Familia. This short film was the genesis of this new project, according to Soler: “Interior. Familia was a short film about a section of society. We wanted to broaden that idea, making a sort of jigsaw with seven ends, seven unbreakable pillars of society.”

After taking part in many festivals, such as the South by Southwest in Austin, 7 razones para huir was nominated for Best European fantasy feature film at the Silver Méliès awards.
