David Lynch’s Fantastic Surrealism

David Lynch’s Fantastic Surrealism

An eccentric among eccentrics, David Lynch responds to the Renaissance canon: director and screenwriter, as well as producer, photographer, cartoonist and composer.

His filmography, characterised by a particular surrealist aesthetic and his personal obsession with exploring the dark side of the human experience, includes titles such as Lost Highway, The Straight Story and Mulholland Drive, for which he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Director for the third time.

Coinciding with the 69th SEMINCI, the Municipal Foundation of Culture is organising an exhibition curated by Antonella Montinaro, entitled David Lynch's Fantastic Surrealism, which explores his biography and delves into his ‘fetish’ themes and the techniques he has developed over the course of his long career.
