UVa ROUTE

The UVa Route is a series of ten screenings and meetings at different venues and sections of SEMINCI, offering students an opportunity to get to know the festival in depth, and to understand first-hand the process of filmmaking from the directors themselves in post-screening discussion sessions. This activity is organised by SEMINCI in collaboration with the University of Valladolid, in an effort that allows interested young people to reflect on the films with great filmmakers who are open to sharing their extensive experience and knowledge, in an activity designed by the festival team. The programme of the route is prepared by the festival's head of programming and professor, Javier H. Estrada, who will give a master class prior to the start of the festival to the registered students, in which he will present the different films as an introduction to the cycle, generating a much more enriching didactic experience for the attendees. The route will consist of ten films accompanied by colloquiums, always in the afternoon, between Friday 18th and Saturday 26th October. Among the feature films programmed will be outstanding films from this year's programme such as Edge of night, Moon, The Adamant girl or The Great Yawn of History. The registration fee will be €15, and will include access to the ten films in the cycle, as well as a free elective credit for students who attend 80% of the screenings. The registration fee will be reimbursed by the University of Valladolid for those who attend more than 80% of the programme.

Screening venues might vary. Students and general public. Prior registration.
