Born in Valladolid in 1983, Alberto Velasco studied Drama in his hometown before furthering his training with Andrés Lima, Eugenio Barba and Rosario Ruiz Rodgers. He has worked with professionals such as Marta Carrasco, Hiroko Tanahasi & Alicia Soto, Carlota Ferrer, Chevi Muraday, Alberto Conejero, Juan Carlos Pérez de la Fuente and David Serrano. As a director and stage creator, he is responsible for productions such as ‘¡Vaca!’, ‘La inopia’, ‘Escenas de caza’, ‘Danzad malditos’ (Max Award), ‘Dance to Death’, ‘Cuando todo cambia’, ‘Atra bilis’ and ‘Sweet Dreams’. In television he has participated in series like ‘Amar es para siempre’ or ‘Vis a vis’, and in cinema in films such as ‘The Invisible Hand’ or ‘Dancing on Glass’. He has directed the short films ‘Volcánica’ and ‘El rey de las flores’.
