Andrea Diéguez

She was born in Ponferrada in 1992. She has a degree in Fine Arts with a major in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Salamanca. Later, she completed the master’s programme Research in Advanced Studies in Art History, where she conducted a study on the analogies between painting, literature and film. The study analyses the filmography of Peter Watkins in confrontation with the work by Norwegian painter Edvard Münch. Her professional career includes several projects around cultural management that focus on cinematic perspectives and their pictorial approaches, and her work at the Regional Film Library of Castile and León. She currently combines research work for her doctoral dissertation with her work as festival liaison at the Medina del Campo Film Festival.
