Dario Oliveira

With a degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, he was foun- der and co-director (from 1993 to 2013) of the Curtas Metragens Vila do Conde Film Festival. He also founded and has been artistic director of the Porto/Post/Doc Film and Media Festival since its first edition in 2014. Other capacities include cura- tor of several video art exhibitions at Solar Galeria in Vila do Conde; head of the Film and Multimedia program at Porto 2001 European Capital of Culture; head programmer for Estaleiro Vila do Conde 2011/2012; producer of several documentaries and short films; and jury member at film festivals like Gijón, Las Palmas, BAFICI, Punto de Vista or São Paulo. He teaches Film Studies at the Universidade Católica do Porto’s Escola das Artes.
