Professor of Literary Theory and Comparative Literature at the University of Granada. He is currently the main researcher of the National Plan’s R&D Project ‘Transmedialisation and Hybridisation of Fiction and Non-Fiction in Contemporary Media Culture’ (FicTrans), which aims to study new forms of cinematic and audiovisual experimentation across the genres of fiction and documentary. He is a guest lecturer in the Master’s Degree in Film Criticism at ECAM/Caimán CdC and in the Master’s Degree in Documentary and Transmedia Journalistic Reporting (RTVE/UC3M). He is the author or co-author of a dozen books and has published on the films of David Lean, Pedro Almodóvar, and Edgar Neville in the field of film studies. Additionally, he has been a visiting professor and researcher at various foreign universities.
