Marina Alberti

Executive producer at El Viaje Films of titles such as ‘The Undergrowth’, ‘They Carry Death’, ‘White on White’, ‘Between Dog and Wolf’, ‘La ciudad oculta’, and ‘Matadero’. Her debut film, ‘Aitana’ (2023), approaches the figure of Aitana Alberti, the filmmaker’s mother and the daughter of writer María Teresa León and poet Rafael Alberti. After its premiere at the Venice Festival, the film won the Silver Spike at Valladolid’s Seminci and began an intensive tour of festivals like HotDocs (Canada) and Bogoshorts (Colombia). She trained in Film Direction at the University of the Arts of Havana and at the International School of Cinema and Television of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV). She also worked as a visual consultant for the R&D historical memory project ‘Bosnian Bones, Spanish Ghosts’ at Goldsmiths, University of London.
