October 1968. During the Brazilian dictatorship, students and professors of the Left Student Movement face attacks by the Communist Hunting Command coming from across the street, in a pivotal night known as The Battle of the Students. 21 long- takes depict 24 hours alive with the passion of the youth of the 60s, in defense of an ideal, on the verge of the military invasion of the Philosophy School building.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1982. She graduated from São Paulo University Film School (ECA-USP) and also studied screenwriting at Escuela de Cine y TV in San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba. She directed the short films ‘Spread through the Air’ and ‘Bound’, both shown at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival Critics Week special session. In 2016, she released her first feature film as a screenwriter and director, ‘Restless Love’, and in 2020 she launched the series ‘He, She, They’ by HBO Originals, a project where she was the creator, screenwriter and director. At the beginning of 2023, the first season of the series ‘2Times’ was launched, with production by Disney/Star+ and herself as the director.
