The film narrates the impact of the Gandhian message of Non Violence worldwide; how it inspired Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement in USA, the Solidarity Movement in Poland, The Velvet Revolution of Havel, and the Anti- Apartheid strife in South Africa. The film decodes the power of Non-Violence and why it remains relevant to this day.
He is a well-known award winning feature film and documentary producer/director in India. His feature film ‘New Delhi Times’ was acclaimed by critics and won 4 awards in India’s National Film Festival. He produced and co-directed the feature documentary ‘The Journalist and The Jihadi: The Murder of Daniel Pearl’, a co-production with HBO that was nominated for two Emmy awards. He has also written, produced and directed the feature documentary ‘Ahimsa- Gandhi: The Power of the Powerless’, that was showcased in the United Nations where it was recognised with the Global International Peace Award. He has also served for the last five years as Head of the Evaluation Committee appointed by the Government of India’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
