‘Always negative... Never positive’ is the phrase with which the legendary Louis Van Gaal is remembered. 25 years after that famous press conference, the Dutch coach now stars in a documentary with a very different mentality that looks back on his experience with the cancer he suffered during the last World Cup. Through a conversation with the scientific director of the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), María Blasco, draws on the importance of research into the treatment of a disease that affects more than 20 million new people every year. The film by Nacho Solana, winner of the Mèlies de Plata in 2023 for No hay fantasmas, takes a close and natural approach to the relationship between science and sport.
