A documentary about the first 25 years of Luis García Berlanga’s life, from his birth in Valencia in 1921 until he decided to go to Madrid to study film in 1947. This is a vital period for understanding the personality of a genius, in which Berlanga, his world and his city underwent a constant process of transformation. With the help of his grandnephew Chechu García-Berlanga and Luis’ own memories, the film traces the childhood and youth of an extraordinary and creative person who did not yet know that he was destined to become one of the great directors of Spanish and European cinema.
