Benjamín Espósito has just retired after having worked all his life as a clerk in a criminal court. To occupy his free time, he decides to write a novel based on a true story in which he wasboth witness and protagonist: the investigation of a murder that took place in Buenos Aires in 1974. But once the gate into the past is opened, he will find it impossible to close it. First, because the turbulent Argentina of that period sneaks into the lives of the characters with its burden of violence and death. And, above all because although Benjamín thinks that the story he is weaving deals only with the past, his search willshed a stark light on his own life and his present situation.
