A twilight portrait that ultimately becomes a posthumous tribute to Cristóbal Halffter, one of the main compositional personalities of the last fifty years and a cultural and ethical reference. Through a kaleidoscope of statements and opinions of the protagonist himself and of composers, critics and also close friends, we get to know a Halftter who is both intimate and creative. His life trajectory is completed with performances by some of the best Spanish music interpreters in emblematic concert halls and sites in Spain.
Valencia 1967. He is a member of Spain’s Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences . His previous feature films had a strong impact on the cultural sector: ‘Temperado’ (2016), ‘El Proceso’ (2017) and ‘Danzantes’ (2019). He coordinates the COMA Festival of Contemporary Music in Madrid and is the cultural manager of the Madrid Association of Composers AMCC. He is part of multidisciplinary projects like the EPOS Lab, Cuarto de Tono and Localización Danza Cámara FestLDC. He has delivered seminars and workshops on audiovisual direction at the UAX (Madrid), the Arctic Open Festival (Russia) or the evento Canarias Música en Otoño (Las Palmas). In 2020 he won the Seminci Factory award for his short film ‘Frugal’, which also premieres at the 66th Seminci.
