Self-taught screenwriter and director born in London (United Kingdom). Often dissecting the absurd from the mundane, rooted in the mythology of her own memories, conjuring oddness out of the familiar. Her first short film, ‘Nosebleed’ (2018), premiered at BFI London Film Festival and was selected for the LFF Network programme and Sundance Ignite, and the next one, ‘Shagbands’ (2020), for Film4, premiered at BFI London Film Festival, was nominated for Best Short and was in competition at LSFF. ‘Hoard’ (2023), her debut feature, premiered during the International Critics’ Week at the Venice Film Festival and harvested a special mention from the jury for its protagonist, Saura Lightfoot Leon, in addition to the young creators award for the director.
