More than 30,000 elderly people have died from COVID in Spanish nursing homes. 20,000 of these deaths occurred in just four months, from March to June 2020. What happened in these institutions to produce such a level of mortality? The documentary ‘The Cruelest Death’ tells the truth of what happened, including testimonies by the relatives who lost their loved ones, the workers at the nursing homes and experts of all sorts, from lawyers to psychologists.

Later, she shot short films like ‘Todo está en tu mano’ (2007), produced by Eva Longoria, or ‘Un lugar donde ser feliz’ (2017), starring Javier Gutiérrez. She subsequently created and directed advertising campaigns against gender violence and television commercials, before participating in a 2017 six-chapter documentary miniseries about Camarón de la Isla involving the participation of Netflix. In 2019, she directed the documentary feature ‘Lagun y la resistencia frente a ETA’, premiered in Time of History. Her latest work is the documentary feature ‘La muerte más cruel’ (2021).
