Screenwriter, director and actor born in Scottsdale (US) in 1988. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with ‘The Childhood of a Leader’, critically acclaimed and awarded at the Venice Film Festival with the prize for best director in the Orizzonti section and the Luigi De Laurentiis for best debut feature. In 2018 he returned to Venice, this time to the Official Selection, with ‘Vox Lux’, his second feature film, later selected for festivals such as London and Toronto, among many others. For television, he has directed several episodes of the Apple TV series ‘The Crowded Room’. In 2024, he presented ‘The Brutalist’ again in Venice, where it won the Silver Lion for best director and the critics’ prize, among other awards.
