After the death of his father, Damián returns to his native Ferrol to stay at the guesthouse ‘La parra’, where he used to live. As soon as he sets foot in the city, he realises that people are confusing him with Cosme, the guide who disappeared, and about whom Damián knows nothing. The third feature film by Alberto Gracia, winner of the FIPRESCI award at the Rotterdam Festival in 2013 for O Quinto Evanxeo de Gaspar Hauser, delivering a game of mirrors, a story that fuses the social and the fantastic, situating Ferrol as a spectral place, a sort of ghostly island where nothing seems real, but everything is rooted in a common past. This enigmatic atmosphere is built by the photography of Ion de Sosa, a benchmark of the new Spanish cinema, and the music of Jonay Armas, reminiscent (in a distant way) of David Lynch's films.
