Born in Madrid in 1981, he graduated in Audiovisual Communication from UCM before studying at the Lisbon Film School (ESTC) where he trained as a cinematographer. For more than ten years he collaborated as assistant director with Spanish filmmakers such as Alberto Rodríguez, Javier Fesser, Santi Amodeo, Javier Rebollo, Montxo Armendáriz, Federico Veiroj, Lois Patiño or Elena López Riera. He directed the short films ‘Las hormigas’ (2007), ‘De caballeros’ (2010, premiered at the IDFA) and ‘Buenos días resistencia’ (2013), the latter premiered in Rotterdam and awarded at numerous festivals. In 2017 he released ‘Niñato, his first feature film, simultaneously at BAFICI (Argentina) and Visions du Réel (Switzerland), before being awarded in the New Waves Section of the Seville European Film Festival. ‘A nuestros amigos’ (2024), his second feature, had its world premiere at Visions du Réel.
